Minister of State Designate in charge of Government Communications ,Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has questioned the consistency of the Minority Leader’s stance.

In response to the Minority Leader’s concerns on his official Facebook page , Kwakye Ofosu pointed to a similar instance in 2017 when President Akufo-Addo appointed Irene Naa Torshie Addo as the Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) before her vetting and approval by Parliament.

Kwakye Ofosu stated on his Facebook page, “The Minority Leader’s complaints about Dr. Johnson Asiamah’s appointment echo the same procedure used to appoint the Common Fund Administrator by President Akufo-Addo in 2017. What sayeth him about this?”

The Minority Leader, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, had earlier raised concern about Dr. Asiamah assuming office without the approval of the yet-to-be-formed Council of State, emphasizing the need to respect constitutional processes.
