General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Koduah has admonished party members to have tolerance of criticisms and unite to embrace opinions as the party seek to win another turn of office in 2024 general election.
Frimpong Koduah said, as the party is preparing to select it parliamentary candidates and flagbearer for 2024 general election, party members should not be on each other throat but rather be unified.
“Mr. chairman, we appeal to all members, executives, loyalist and sympathizers of NPP to be guided by the NPP history and think of what will happen to us when we are not united. When you feel like undermining a party member, when you tell yourself you will not go out and campaign, think of what happen to us in 1979 and 2008 when we lost the election.”
He also said that, as national executives, they pledged to act as impartial arbiters in the upcoming primaries to elect parliamentary candidates and a flagbearer.
Fimpong Koduah advised party members to refrain from provocative languages and character assassination. “In this era of social media, it is important not to wash our dirty linen in public.”
The NPP has launched its 30th anniversary celebrations with a call on party members to unite to propel the party to victory in 2024.
NPP was officially formed on July 28, 1992.
As part of the activities of the 30th anniversary celebrations, Islamic thanksgiving prayer service at the national Mosque on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Kande and Christian thanksgiving on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at U.P.S.A.
