Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Professionals, Linda Ansong has rubbished claims surrounding the club’s ownership.

In a statement addressing swirling rumours of Hohoe MP Peter Amewu buying the club, Ansong clarified that Liberty Professionals has not been sold, putting an end to the viral report.

According to the CEO, the club is still under the ownership of its founder Mr. Felix Ansong.

Liberty Professionals was founded in 1996 by Accra-based businessmen Felix Ansong and Alhaji Sly Tetteh.

In July 2021, the club was relegated to the Ghana Division One League at the end of the 2020/21 season, after 22 years in the Ghana Premier League since gaining promotion in 1998.
