The National Organizer of the Liberal Party Ghana, Samuel Aryeequaye, has announced his resignation from the party, effective immediately.
In a public statement, Aryeequaye cited his new role as Secretary General of Diplomatic Envoy Globalization, an internationally recognized diplomatic organization, as the reason for his departure.
Samuel Aryeequaye officially made this known to Happy news.
According to Samuel Aryeequaye, his new position bars him from active partisan politics, therefore he chose to resign from active politics.
Mr. Aryeequaye expressed gratitude to LPG’s founder and flagbearer, Percival Kofi Akpaloo, for the opportunity to serve the party during his stay.
He had previously represented the party as Parliamentary candidate for Agona East in the 2020 general elections and served as National Organizer until his resignation in 2022.
The timing of Aryeequaye’s resignation is notable, coming after Akpaloo’s recent comments on the military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight people, including two ministers.
Mr. Aryeequaye’s in his statement has distanced himself from the distasteful and unsavory comments made by his former founder and former Presidential Candidate of the LPG, Percival Kofi Akpaloo. He has also declined calls to speak to the matter or provide any clarity or whatsoever.
