The Presidential Candidate of National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has lambasted the NPP administration for not honouring the “Year of roads policy”. He said the government has failed to construct more roads across the country as promised.

According to him, the NPP administration has not addressed the challenge of deplorable roads in many parts of the country.

Addressing the people of Enchi in the Aowin constituency as part of his campaign tour of the Western North Region, John Mahama revealed that the year of roads initiative was just a mere slogan for the NPP.

“Even the roads that i started during my tenure, this government has not been able to complete them”, he said.

He revealed that, in his campaign tour across the country, the roads he has been traveling on are not in better condition.

“Western North is the thirteenth Region i have visited ever since I started my campaign and most of the roads look weird and the good ones we left too have not been maintained “.

“Almost every community I have extended my campaign to, the chiefs bemoan poor road network, meanwhile this government has been disturbing us with year of roads but there are no roads, he emphasized.
