President John Dramani Mahama is set to visit the Western North Region on Monday, July 15, 2025, as part of his nationwide “thank you” tour following his decisive victory in the December 2024 presidential election.
The highlight of the visit will be a grand durbar at Juaboso, where the President is expected to address traditional authorities, heads of departments, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCES), and enthusiastic party supporters.
The event is aimed at expressing gratitude to the region for its overwhelming support during the polls.
A statement signed by George Ofori Danquah, the Western North Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), called on constituency executives to coordinate with their respective Members of Parliament and MDCEs to ensure strong mobilisation of the party base for the durbar.
The Western North Region proved to be a stronghold for the ruling NDC, securing eight out of the nine parliamentary seats in the 2024 elections.
The party views the region as a key pillar in its national development agenda and grassroots engagement strategy.
President Mahama’s “thank you” tour has already taken him to several regions across the country, where he has reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance and the #ResettingGhana agenda.
