Dreams FC have booked themselves a ticket to the semis of the 2022/23 FA Cup competition after defeating Legon Cities courtesy an extra-time goal from Ebenezer Adade.

Dreams FC secured their second consecutive semi-final berth of the competition following a 1-0 victory in the quarter-final fixture against Legon Cities at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu.

The ‘Still Believe’ lads enjoyed majority of the possession in the first half with the golden opportunity appearing on the 8th minute but Gael Avocevou failed to open the score for the homesters.

Legon Cities had a lot of defensive duties following the intense pressure mounted on them, however they managed to end the first half without conceding from the fearsome attacks launched by Dreams FC.

In the second half, the game which was monitored by Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton looked balanced with both sides making an attempt of registering the opener in regulation time.

The match was forced into thirty minutes of extra time after the entire 90 minutes couldn’t produce any goal despite the late glimpses of Legon Cities.

Dreams FC registered the opener on the 103rd minute after a solo run of Ebenezer Adade to struck the ball firmly into the back of goalkeeper Hornu’s net.

Legon Cities warmed themselves into the fixture in the remaining minutes of the extra-time but none of their efforts earned them the equalizer for a penalty shootouts as Dreams FC progressed to the semi-final stage of the 2022/23 FA Cup competition.

Dreams FC will face the winner of the quarter-final fixture between two Division One League sides Skyy FC and Ebusua Dwarfs scheduled for Saturday
