Mustapha Ussif, the Minister for Youth and Sports says he refuses to be tagged as the worst sports minister in Ghana’s history.
Kobina Woyome, Chairman for the Parliamentary Select Committee on sports during a sitting on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, labeled Mustapha Ussif as the worst Sports Minister.
The comments from the Chairman of the Sports Committee in Parliament comes on the back of the ban on Baba Yara Stadium and the expenditure at the 2023 AFCON.
Mustapha Ussif reacted by saying he will reject any attempts to be labeled as the worst Sports Minister because that claim is not backed by any data.
“ I intend to disagree with you, your statement that I am the worst as a Minister, I’m the worst as a performer in terms of numbers.”
“I don’t know which numbers you are talking about so you should be able to tell me what numbers, the data you are using to determine (that) during my time it is the worst.”
