Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa, has formally retracted and apologised for a series of social media posts she made earlier this year against gospel musician Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye.
In a statement issued on Thursday, December 4, 2025, through her legal representatives, Agyaa Asamani Law Consult, Evangelist Mama Pat admitted that the allegations she made in May 2025 were false, baseless and unintended to malign the musician’s character.
According to the statement signed by her counsel, Richard Asare Baffour, the posts were made “in the spur of the moment” as a reaction to comments earlier made by Mr. Hopeson Adorye against her.
However, the firm noted that the comments were unfortunately interpreted as imputing immorality and unchastity to Empress Gifty Adorye.
“It is now stated unequivocally that the allegations made by our client as contained in the impugned publications were false and completely without merit. Consequently, our client retracts every statement made therein,” the release stated.
Mama Pat also issued what her lawyers describe as an “unqualified and sincere apology” to Empress Gifty for the harm the statements caused to her personal and professional reputation.
The apology was further extended to Empress Gifty’s family, friends, and colleagues for any distress the publications may have caused.
Evangelist Mama Pat emphasized her regret and withdrew all previous claims made against the gospel artiste.
