My Eyes Center, a leading name in the eye care business, marked the 2024 edition of the World Sight Day with camaraderie, love, and giving back to society.

My Eyes Center on October 10, 2024 organized a free eye screening exercise for residents in and around Tema as part of their activities to celebrate World Sight Day, and also gave out one thousand (1,000) free reading glasses to those who needed them.

This exercise saw hundreds of people from surrounding communities come to get their eyes screened and received free prescriptions, with some receiving advice to keep their eyes strong.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of My Eyes Center, Dr. Chinenye Adisa described the exercise as not only a way to join the world celebrate sight day, but also an opportunity to educate the public on the significance of regularly getting their eyes screen and prioritizing the wellbeing of the eyes.

She also believes in giving back to society and insists that the society in which they operate should benefit from their services regardless of whether one has the means to or not.

“Without our eyes, life becomes difficult, and as an eye care specialist, I believe we need to protect our eyes to the very best of our abilities. This is why we have made it a point to always organize free eye screening exercises for the community we operate it. We are impressed by the turnout and know that next year will see many more people coming for the World Sight Day screening.

“We say a big thank you to all our partners for making this possible because we couldn’t have done it all alone,” she stated.

World Sight Day on Thursday, October 10, 2024, focuses the world’s attention on the importance of eye care in young people and inspiring children everywhere to love their eyes.

My Eyes Center is made up of a team of optometrists providing qualitative eye care services to the people of Accra and its environs. My Eyes Center regularly organizes Eye Screening exercises for members of the public who might not readily have access to appropriate Eye-care facilities.
