National Youth Coordinator for the Progressive People Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah, has asserted that even though Nana Addo has tried his best to develop the country, he has failed woefully in many sectors of the economy.

In an interview with Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the Epa Hoa Daben show, he likened Nana Addo’s governance to the recent development of Actress Emelia Brobbey delving into Music.

“Nana Akufo-Addo is managing the economy like actress Emelia Brobbey venturing into music. She acts so well. Recently she tried to venture into music but she failed woefully. That is how Nana Addo’s economy has been. You can tell that Nana Addo wants to try his best but he is unable to manage the economy”.

He admitted that the President must be applauded for the implementation of the free SHS even though there were few issues around its implementation. “Even though there are one or two issues about the way he is implementing the free SHS, I believe it is one step forward. It is a good thing because at the end of the day, even those who pay school fees are not that much. So we will still commend him”, he added.

He was, however, of the view that when it comes to the health and financial sectors, President Nana Addo is unable to effectively manage them.

“The way he is managing the financial sector and its reforms, is very disappointing. And some areas of the economy is not being managed well. For example the coronavirus has exposed us big time in our health sector. They also told us the economy is resilient and strong. But with nineteen (19) days of lockdown, they informed us that the country is collapsing”, he stated.

“He is good with advocacy and grammar but walking the talk is difficult for him”, he added.
