The ruling National Democratic Congress is celebrating 33 years under the Fourth Republic.
General Secretary Fiifi Kwetey at a news conference in Accra today emphasized that the party is larger than any individual, whether president, vice president, or flag bearer. He declared that the NDC is the number one vehicle for Ghana’s progress and remains one united family.
However, Kwetey pointed out that some individuals within the party are actually members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and only pretend to be loyal to the NDC.
He also expressed disappointment at young members of the NDC who aspire to leading a life of opulence. Kwetey stated that such individuals belong to the NPP, not the NDC, which remains a party for the ordinary Ghanaian.
He also emphasized that, since 1992, the NDC has won five general elections, proving its commitment as a social democratic party dedicated to serving the people of Ghana.
