NDC Decides: This year’s Delegate Congress is youth dominated – Zita Benson

Leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Zita Benson has described the 10th NDC Delegate Congress as highly intensive compared to previous editions.

She highlighted that this year’s edition has witnessed youth dominance in the party hence, the boisterous atmosphere in the build-up to the party’s Delegate Congress.

“This has been very intense. Previous ones hasn’t been this intense and I don’t know whether it’s as a result of the youth dominating the party currently but this says a lot about Ghana now and good news for the future,” she told Happy 98.9 FM’s Sefah-Danquah at the special coverage of the 10th NDC National Delegate Congress.

The former Minister of Tourism however acknowledged that the youth dominance in the party comes as a forte for the party going into the 2024 General election.

“This is the first time I’m see this and people are supporting candidates and sometimes the campaign gets personal with people going all out sometimes on attack and stuff like that but this all comes with the job. I believe that after the elections we’d put our differences aside and move forward towards 2024,” she added.

Happy 98.9 FM confirms that 8,964 delegates from throughout the nation attended the 10th National Delegates Congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) currently ongoing at the Accra Sports Stadium (December 17, 2022).
