Zanetor Rawlings, contended other candidates to retain her seat as the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the Korle Klottey Constituency.

Zanetor Rawlings booked her spot as an NDC Parliamentary candidate with 671 votes, while her two contenders Leeford Quarshie and Nii Alema Bashiru got 336 and 260 votes respectively.

The NDC parliamentary primaries has ended and counting is currently underway in 157 constituencies across the country. 524 aspirants were cleared to contest in the Saturday August 24, 2019 to lead the Parliamentary front as the Party heads into the 2020 General Election.

The party had however indicated prior to the Saturday August 24 polls that there was a hold on elections at the Asawase and Ellembelle constituencies as well as three other constituencies due to petitions by some of the aspirants.

There was also no election in 39 constituencies where incumbent Members of Parliaments (MPs) and aspirants contested unopposed.
