The Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Kwawoma District, Charles Kwaku Fokuo, has refuted allegations that party thugs were involved in the raid of the District Coordinator’s bungalow.

The Presiding Member of Atwima Kwawoma District had accused NDC Constituency Chairman and District Chief Executive (DCE) aspirant, Solomon Alonga, of mobilizing party youth to ransack the residence of District Coordinator Eunice Korankye. The incident allegedly occurred over suspicions that she had secretly kept items belonging to the District Assembly.

However, speaking in an interview with the media, Mr. Fokuo dismissed the claims, stating that no “macho man” was involved. He clarified that party representatives visited the bungalow in an official capacity to search for the suspected missing items.

He further explained that before proceeding to the premises, the District Police Commander was formally notified, after which police officers and a CID personnel were assigned to accompany them. Given this, he insisted that the allegations of using force or deploying thugs were baseless.

Mr. Fokuo emphasized that NDC youth uphold the rule of law and value peace, insisting that any accusations against them and the Constituency Chairman should not be entertained.
