In a gracious gesture, NPP presidential aspiarnat Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto has officially conceded defeat in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Presidential Primaries.

Dr. Akoto confirmed his concession, stating, “I have already called him [Bawumia] to congratulate him.” This act of extending congratulations to his fellow candidate, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, exemplifies the spirit of unity and camaraderie within the NPP.

While Dr. Akoto has gracefully acknowledged the outcome, it is important to note that the vote counting is still ongoing in various polling centers.

The final results of the Primaries are yet to be officially announced, and the party members continue to eagerly await the conclusion of the electoral process to determine their flagbearer for the 2023 General Elections.
