Ing. Francis Addai-Nimoh, a prominent figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a contender in the upcoming presidential elections has advised delegates as he emphasized the importance of values, principles and the essence of true leadership, steering the conversation away from the allure of money and materialistic influences ahead of the elections.

He conveyed this message during his exclusive interview on Happy 98.9 FM’s “Epa Hoa Daben” socio-political talk show with with Bismark Brown.

In the interview, he stated, “I want to explain to delegates that this election isn’t about money.” Addai-Nimoh underscored the sheer impracticality of trying to influence over 200,000 delegates with monetary offers, recognizing the limitations of financial incentives in changing destinies.

He posed the question, “How much money can I give to a delegate to change his or her life?” He highlighted the transient nature of such financial assistance, saying, “You’re going to spend it for just a day.”

Addai-Nimoh made a compelling argument that the delegates’ past experiences of voting for candidates who later forget their promises should not serve as a precedent.

He claimed, “That doesn’t mean another will come and do the same. That is why everyone has a name, and I’m Addai-Nimoh.” His message aimed to remind delegates that elections should be about the qualities, vision, and character of the candidates, rather than the size of their financial contributions.

He further stressed that the NPP, which has been in power for eight years and is looking to extend its tenure to a third term, should prioritize issues of greater significance than the exchange of money.

“It shouldn’t be about money, who brings me money and who wouldn’t bring me money,” Addai-Nimoh maintained. He called for a focus on the party’s values and principles, highlighting the importance of passionate and dedicated party members.

In his view, being a loyal and service-oriented member of the NPP should carry more weight than financial incentives in the electoral process.
