The Member of Parliament for Suhum, Frank Bekoe Asiedu, has called on delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency to remain united and refocus their energies on defeating the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the conclusion of the party’s internal contest.
In an appreciation message addressed to party delegates on Sunday, February 1, Mr. Asiedu thanked them for carefully listening to the messages of the various aspirants and voting according to their convictions in the interest of the party.
He expressed special gratitude to delegates who voted overwhelmingly for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing their support as humbling and assuring them it would not be taken for granted.
With the internal contest concluded, the Suhum MP stressed that the NPP’s real opponent is the NDC and not fellow party members, urging supporters to avoid division and embrace unity.
“Our opponent is not within the NPP. Our real contest is with the NDC. This is the moment for unity, not division,” he stated, emphasising that collective strength would be key to the party’s success.
Mr. Asiedu also commended members of Team Bawumia in Suhum for their commitment and sacrifices, noting that their efforts before, during and after the process demonstrated strong party loyalty.
He encouraged party members to close ranks, heal internal differences and work together towards regaining political power in 2028, pledging the NPP’s commitment to serving Ghanaians with honesty, vision and competence.
