NPP Polls: Ken Agyapong picks number 1, Alan 2, Bawumia 10 in flagbearer balloting

Ahead of the special delegates conference slated for August 26, 2023, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) held a vital flagbearer balloting on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

This action was a significant milestone in the party’s internal selection process.

In the balloting held in Accra the Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong secured the number one position, while Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen followed closely in the second position. Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s representatives picked the 10th position for their candidate.

The complete list of flagbearer hopefuls and their corresponding positions is as follows:

  1. Ken Ohene Agyapong
  2. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen
  3. Joe Ghartey
  4. Kwadwo Poku
  5. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto
  6. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
  7. Francis Addai Nimoh
  8. Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku
  9. Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko
  10. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
