The New Patriotic Party (NPP), General Secretary Justin Frimpong-Kodua has expressed his confidence in the impartiality of high-ranking delegates participating in the party’s elections.

Frimpong-Kodua emphasized that these delegates, holding some of the highest offices within the party, are unlikely to be swayed or influenced by any aspirant.

Speaking to Happy 98.9 FM, he said, “If you look at the caliber of the delegates who are going to partake in the elections, they are the highest officers of the party and no one can influence them to join an aspirant’s camp. None of the national officers have been camped. No aspirants can camp the regional and constituency officers. They are the highest officers of the party, and I don’t see how any of them can be influenced to join an aspirant’s camp.”

He highlighted the party’s commitment to a fair and transparent election process, where delegates are expected to make independent decisions based on their judgment and loyalty to the party’s ideals.

He also reiterated the party’s confidence in its internal checks and balances, ensuring that the highest-ranking officials maintain their impartiality during the elections.

The NPP Super Delegates Election continues across the 16 regions of Ghana with the voting expected to halt at 1:00 pm as the results are collated.
