Some protesters at the NPP’s Yen suro Ahunahuna demo in Accra have told Happy Kaseɛbɔ that the NDC government is undermining democracy and freedom of speech, with citizens facing arrests and intimidation for expressing dissenting views.
The protesters also said that freedom of speech is a fundamental right that is being eroded by the government’s actions.
They emphasized that they have the right to criticize the government without fear of harassment or intimidation.
The protesters accused the government of applying justice selectively, targeting opposition members while giving preferential treatment to its own. This, they argue, is a clear abuse of power and a threat to democracy.
