A Vice Chairperson of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed that the governing New Patriotic party led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is bent on removing the Electoral Commission boss and her two deputies from office because the woman is resolute in blocking their hacking machinery.
Anita Desoso cast this insinuation in the matter of the impeachment of the EC boss, Madam Charlotte Osei and her two deputies from office because they are determined to block the rigging machinery of the NPP.
She said the woman is taking steps with reforms to make sure what happen in 2016 will be avoided in the 2020 elections.
According to her, in the last elections the EC boss in a statement alleged that the EC’s system has been tempered with.
The former Deputy Director-General of  the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) made this known in an interview with Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ socio-political show on Accra-based Happy FM.
She said because the lady was resolute in her resolve that the EC’s system was compromised in the last elections that saw the NPP and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo come to power elements in the party has not forgiven her.
She explained that because the lady was able to detect that the EC’s system was hacked by elements in the NPP; the party is bent on seeing her back before the next election.
The NPP is afraid the long stay of the EC boss in office will block their attempts to hack into the EC’s data base in the 2020 elections collation.
She gave the assurance that the EC boss is going nowhere and the NDC will not sit down for the NPP to take the country to the United Party(UP) days when they succeeded in toppling the government of the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
The UP in those days destroyed everything the country’s first president has chalked.
She quizzes whether the NPP is treating the EC boss with disdain because she is a woman?
She reminded the NPP that if are still bent on removing the EC boss from office there are procedures to follow.
The NDC will make sure these procedures for the removal of an appeals courts judge are followed to latter in the matter of the impeachment of the EC boss.
