The Director-General for the National Sports Authority(NSA) Professor Peter Twumasi has denied drafting the apology letter signed by Martha Bissah.

The NSA boss has been accused by Kwaku Nimako, a former representative of Martha Bissah for forcing the Ghanaian sprinter to apologize to the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) and president Professor Francis Doudou.

Martha Bissah had been suspended indefinitely by the GAA since 2016 over claims made against the athletics President.

The association suspended her stating her claims were lies against the association and president.

Responding to allegations leveled against him, the NSA boss stated he had no hand in the letter written and signed by Martha Bissah.

“I wasn’t the person who drafted the letter for Martha Bissah”, he told Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9FM.

“We have a legal department unit at the NSA and we referred the matter to them. We are all looking for peace to prevail and I am happy with how things have turned out. Kwaku Nimako is the same person who led Martha to our office.

Professor Peter Twumasi hopes peace prevails between Martha Bissah’s camp and the Ghana Athletics Association for her to continue with her career.

“I have pleaded with the two camps to ensure peace prevails”
