A year after her demise, the children of Christiana Addo, including musician Bice Osei Kuffuor, have instituted an education fund in her honour.
In an interview with Citi Showbiz, Mr. Kuffuor known in showbiz as Obour, said he and his siblings had put together the ‘Christiana Addo Memorial Foundation’ to honour their late mother Christiana Abena Aduah Siaw Addo who passed away last year.
According to him, their mother was a compassionate and loving woman whose life was defined by generosity.
“Our mother was a cheerful giver who was passionate about education, sanitation and helping people in every way she could especially the poor and underprivileged in society so we are doing this to continue the good work she started,” he said.
He further explained that the foundation is aimed at paying the school fees of underprivileged students in the Asante Akyem area into tertiary institutions.
In keeping with this, the family will be launching the Christiana Addo Memorial Foundation on Monday, 30th October, 2017 at Parish Hall, Asante Akyem.
This will be after the 1 year anniversary of the late Christiana Addo’s death, on 28th (unveiling of the tombstone) and 29th October, 2017 which will be the thanksgiving service.
