Five soldiers who were on escort duty to Bawku have been involved in a ghastly accident at Saka near Zebilla on the Bawku-Bolgatanga road leaving one dead and others injured.
The vehicle involved was a light armoured vehicle with registration number 21GA39.
According to eyewitnesses, the left back tyre of the vehicle dislodged while in motion, making the driver lose control.
The vehicle somersaulted severally after the driver lost control.
Residents around rescued the victims before the Zebilla police arrived at the scene and later transported them to the Zebilla District Hospital for treatment.
