The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has arrested the acting Head of Legal at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Mr. Freeman Sarbah.
According to a statement posted on the official Facebook page of the OSP on Monday, November 3, Mr. Sarbah is being investigated for suspected corruption and corruption-related offences, as well as obstruction of justice, in connection with the controversial revenue assurance contract between the GRA and Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML).
The OSP did not disclose further details but indicated that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
The GRA–SML contract, which has attracted significant public attention, was earlier subjected to a special investigation by the OSP to assess possible breaches of procurement laws and acts of corruption.
The Office assured that it remains committed to ensuring accountability and integrity in public institutions and will provide further updates as the investigation progresses.
