Parliament approves Prez Akufo-Addo’s new ministers

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s new ministerial’ nominees have been approved by parliament.

This came following a vote conducted in secret by both majority and minority members.

By this, Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa MP, K.T Hammond is now the Minister of Trade and Industry with the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr. Stephen Amoah serving as his deputy.

The Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Bryan Acheampong is now the substantive Minister for Food and Agriculture while Stephen Asamoah Boateng is the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

Osei Bonsu Amoah, MP for Akuapem South, who was a Deputy Minister of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, is now a Minister of State at the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development.

Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, the MP for Karaga, and the immediate-past Deputy Minister of Energy is now a Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance.

KT Hammond had 154 yays, 116 nays 1 rejected vote and 1 absenting vote

Bryan Achempong had the most yays, 167 yays, 98 nays, 4 rejected, 3 absenting votes

147 yays, 122 nays 3 absenting votes for Asamoah Boateng

152, yays 117 nays, 1 rejected and 2 absenting votes went for Mohammed Adam

OB Amoah had 149 yays, 120 nays and 3 absenting votes

Steven Amoah had 146 yays, 123 nays and 3 absenting
