The Parliament of Ghana reconvenes today, Tuesday, February 3, 2026, to begin the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic, following the Christmas recess that ended the First Session in December 2025.
Ahead of the resumption, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business held engagements with Ministers of State to review progress and align legislative priorities for the new session.
Several bills, statements on key national issues, and questions to Ministers are expected to be presented to the House during the sitting.
Among the key matters scheduled for consideration are issues related to illegal mining, as well as the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, commonly referred to as the Anti-LGBT Bill which is expected to generate intense debate on the floor of Parliament.
