Parliament has announced that leaders from both the Majority and Minority sides will present their concluding remarks on the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy today, Thursday, 27th November 2025.
In a statement issued by the Media Relations Department, the addresses will officially close the general debate on the budget and set the tone for the next stage of parliamentary work, which includes detailed committee scrutiny and planning for sector-specific implementation.
The Legislature noted that Members of Parliament have, in recent weeks, undertaken extensive analysis, consultations and constructive assessments of the budget document.
The leadership’s closing submissions are expected to outline major takeaways from the debate, highlight priority areas for the coming fiscal year and offer strategic direction for national policy execution.
Parliament is urging stakeholders to closely monitor the presentations and prepare for subsequent internal engagements as further directives and follow-up actions will be communicated after the leadership’s statements.
