PDS saga: Forget Ken Agyapong; he only speaks the truth if he’s not a beneficiary – Bobie Ansah

Seasoned radio broadcaster, Nana Kwabena Bobie Ansah, has described Outspoken New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Assin Central constituency, Kennedy Agyapong as a hypocrite.

According to him, Ken Agyapong behaves like Former President Jerry John Rawlings. When they are not a direct beneficiary of a deal, they tend to make noise everywhere.

Ken Agyapong opened Pandora’s Box on what led to the government’s suspension of the agreement with Power Distribution Services (PDS).

Mr. Agyapong claimed some NPP members, who promised to buy shares in the company to help them raise the stated capital, failed to do so.

His revelation contradicts the government’s explanation that the PDS agreement was suspended due to breaches in securing the guarantee.

“We are not kids in this country; if he [Ken] was part of the deal, he will defend it everywhere. Didn’t you see how he defended Kwame Owusu Ansah, the former maritime boss,” Bobie Ansah said on Happy FM’s `Epa Hoa Daben’ show.

Last year, Agyapong strongly defended the embattled Director-General of the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA), Kwame Owusu over an allegation that Owusu’s outfit spent a whopping GHC10,652 on food for 8 people at the Luxe Suites Hotel for one night.
