The Ghana Police Service has rolled out comprehensive security arrangements across the country to ensure a safe, peaceful, and incident-free celebration of this year’s Easter festivities.

In a statement issued signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police and Director-General of Public Affairs, Grace Ansah-Akrofi on Thursday, April 2, Police personnel have been strategically deployed to key locations nationwide, with particular focus on the Kwahu enclave, including event grounds, recreational centres, and major tourist sites expected to attract large crowds.

Security presence has also been intensified along major routes leading to and from Kwahu, with operational teams and motor traffic personnel assigned to manage traffic flow and minimise congestion during the festive period.

In addition, intelligence operations have been activated across the country to prevent and swiftly respond to any criminal activities.

The Police Service has urged the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with security personnel, and adhere to all safety guidelines.

Motorists have been advised to obey traffic regulations, avoid excessive speeding and drunk driving, and follow directions from officers on duty.

Patrons have also been encouraged to take responsibility for their personal safety, safeguard their belongings, and promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or officer.

The Ghana Police Service assured the public of its commitment to maintaining law and order and extended best wishes for a safe and enjoyable Easter celebration.
