The Ghana Police Service has begun an investigation into an incident involving the convoy of Professor
Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Friday, 29th November 2024.
According to the Police, a preliminary Police report indicates that the incident occurred between Akuse and Kpong, along the Akosombo-Accra Highway in the Eastern Region, when a dispatch rider from the opposite direction allegedly threw an object at the windscreen of a vehicle in the running mate’s convoy, causing damage to the windscreen.
The Police has however assured the public of thorough investigation as they are committed to ensuring the safety of all persons before, during and after the 2024 General Elections.
