The Presidency has released yet another official update on the funds raised as a support fund for the children of the August 6 Adansi tragedy victims.

The update, released on Friday, counts as the fifth update ever since the initiative started.

According to the official statement, between 23 September and 12 October 2025, donations were received from notable contributors including the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, BOST Energies, Bui Power Authority, Energy Commission, and others.

The Fund, coordinated by Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs, has now reached GHS 8,600,905.00 and US$ 20,000.00.

On August 15, 2025 President John Dramani Mahama officially launched the Children’s Support Fund at the state funeral which was established for the welfare of children affected by the August 6 helicopter crash. The fund is designed to provide comprehensive support to the affected children, covering education from primary to tertiary levels; healthcare, including medical insurance and specialised care where required; and welfare support such as clothing, shelter, and essential living expenses.
