President John Mahama says Cabinet is awaiting a full report from the Minister of Health on the status of the Agenda 111 hospital projects to determine the next steps for their completion.

Speaking during a Presidential Media Encounter at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, he noted, “Cabinet is awaiting a report from the Honourable Minister of Health on the status and stage of completion of the Agenda 111 hospitals to determine a way forward for their completion”.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s health infrastructure, announcing over GH¢2 billion in investments by 2028, including GH¢200 million in the 2025 budget to accelerate construction and modernization.

“Whether in remote rural communities or high-density urban centres, our aim is the same, a health facility within reach of every Ghanaian,” he emphasized.

Launched in 2021, the Agenda 111 initiative aimed to build hospitals across the country but has faced delays.

President Mahama assured journalists that his government is determined to finish what was started.
