President John Dramani Mahama has charged newly appointed Ambassadors and High Commissioners to promote Ghana’s Reset Agenda on the international stage, describing it as a bold vision to restore hope and drive inclusive development.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Presidency, Mahama said,
“The Reset Agenda is this administration’s blueprint. It is a bold vision to restore hope in our people, rebuild trust, and rekindle the movement towards prosperity.”
He emphasized that while the agenda will be driven domestically, the envoys have a critical role in extending its reach globally.
“Your role is to extend this agenda abroad by cultivating strategic partnerships, unlocking opportunities, and deepening Ghana’s place in the global community.”
The President reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to its core foreign policy principles, Pan-Africanism, peaceful coexistence, self-determination, and justice.
“The agreements you secure in Brussels, Beijing, or Washington will reverberate in Tamale, Kumasi, Ho, and Accra.”
