Celebrated Ghanaian Highlife artiste K.K Fosu has praised radio giant, Happy 98.9 FM for the numerous support it has given to Ghanaian musicians.

The musician described Happy 98.9 FM as his home and noted that he does not even need to “knock” before entering its studios because, they are always open to him.

“Happy FM has done a lot for me and almost every opportunity available, they will call me to take advantage of it”, he said.

In a special edition of Happy 98.9 FM’s Showbiz Xtra show to celebrate World Radio Day with host Doctar Cann, the young Highlife legend said, “Happy FM has helped me a lot in my music career. They have helped me in about 90% of my music career”.

Acknowledging efforts by the media brand to support Ghanaian musicians, K.K. Fosu classified the brand as one of the top 5 radio stations in the country.

“Mercy (Producer of Showbiz Xtra) calls me all the time and asks me K.K, how can we promote your song and how can we make things work. When you pick the best 5 radio stations in Ghana, Happy FM is there. Doctor Cann in showbiz you’re number one in Ghana”, he said.

Describing the feeling he had on the first time he heard his music on radio, K.K admitted he could not sleep.

“The first time I heard my muisc on radio, I couldn’t sleep. I’ll always be by the radio till day break and I was always  happy. I kept asking if I was going to be famous and soon enough, that happened”.

K.K Fosu praised the staff and management of Happy FM for their good work and urged them to keep on supporting the industry.

He also advised upcoming musicians to keep doing good music, assuring them they will get all the support from the Ghanaian media scene if they produce quality songs.
