The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has imposed sanctions on Real Temale United FC and their officials for fielding unqualified players in their Ghana Premier League game against Dreams FC.

Real Temale United on match day 28 of the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League game against Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu intentionally deceived match officials by using unqualified players to impersonate the officially registered players of the club.

As a result of their conduct, the club and officials involved in the game have been fined by the GFA in breach of Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations.

In its ruling on the matter, the GFA Disciplinary Committee found Real Tamale United FC guilty of the charge and a fine of GHc100,000 has been placed on them. Officials of RTU FC who led the team to the said match have each been handed a one-year ban from all football-related activities with immediate effect.

The Real Tamale United FC officials banned are Iddi Manzah Alhassan, Abdul-Samed Iddrisu, Abdul-Gafaru Salifu, Tanko Jentumah and Sylvester Yaw Apanka.
