The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has announced an upward adjustment in the price of sachet water, effective Monday, April 6, 2026.
In a statement issued on Thursday, April 2, 2026, the association attributed the increase to a global shortage of polymers and rising production costs linked to the ongoing conflict in Iran.
NASPAWAP explained that the surge in input costs has made it increasingly difficult for producers to maintain existing price levels.
Under the new pricing structure, a bag of 30 sachets of 500ml water will sell at GH¢8 at the ex-factory level, GH¢10 ex-truck, and a maximum retail price of GH¢15.
The association urged retailers and consumers to comply with the revised prices to promote fairness within the market.
It added that the adjustment is necessary to sustain production and ensure the continuous supply of safe drinking water across the country.
