The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has denied social media claims suggesting he is the owner of a newly acquired Toyota V8 vehicle with the customised number plate DJATA 1 – 25.

In a post on his official Facebook page, he dismissed the rumour as false, following the circulation of a viral video showing the vehicle, which some online users claimed belonged to him.

He clarified that while the number plate bears the name “DJATA,” he spells his nickname and brand name as “DZATA”, making it distinct from what appears in the video.

“Anyone who knows me knows I spell my name as DZATA not DJATA as on the number plate,” he explained.

Sam George further noted that he has not purchased a new car this year, despite public assumptions.

“I appreciate those hoping I have bought a new car this year but I have not bought one yet,” he stated.

He added that his current focus is on an anticipated response from DSTV, expected by Monday, July 21, 2025, regarding an issue he has been pursuing.
