Seven suspected armed robbers wanted for konongo attacks

The Ghana Police service are on a manhunt for seven suspected armed robbers for attacking some residents of Konongo in the Ashanti Region.

The suspected armed robbers made away some huge sums of money during the operation.

The suspected robbers run away from the crime scene when they heard police approaching leaving over their Toyota Hilux pick-up with registration number GT 6511-11.

Fortunately, the police were able to apprehend one suspect with the help of residents.

The police retrieved GHC 130,000 from the suspect identified as Amid Tahiru.

They also retrieved a foreign pistol loaded with 11 live rounds of Luger 9mm ammunition, Helckler, MP5 rifle loaded with 37 live rounds of Luger 9mm ammunition, two black face mask, two boxes of 35 live rounds of Luger 9mm ammunition, hand grading machine, tape measure and car number plate with registration number GT 700-09.

The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigation.
