Former Deputy Attorney General, Dr. Dominic Ayine has revealed that the Speaker of Parliament has instructed his lawyers to file an application to vacate the ruling of the Supreme Court

According to the Member of Parliament of Bolgatanga East, the lawyers of the Speaker of Parliament are currently in court trying to set the ruling aside. This he said means the NDC are still the majority in Parliament.

He said the NDC caucus in Parliament will only vacate the seat at the Majority Side if the Speaker tells them he is going to abide by the ruling of the Supreme Court.

“I’m reliably informed that the lawyers of the Speaker are currently in court trying to set the ruling from the Supreme Court aside for the ruling to become void. And until something changes, the current status quo with us as majority stays.”

“The Speaker will have to come and tell us that he is going to abide by the ruling of the Supreme Court before we can vacate the Majority seats and nothing else can make us move,” Dr. Dominic Ayine stated.
