Former Trade Minister under the National Democratic Congress administration, Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, says he is willing and ready to be running mate to flagbearer of the party, John Dramani Mahama, in the 2024 elections.
Dr. Spio Garbrah says he has the experience and competence to add value to the ticket for the NDC to emerge victorious.
Speaking on Accra-based TV3, Dr. Spio Garbrah said he is ever ready to serve if called upon by Mr. Mahama.
“I am also capable; I am also ready. So it is a matter of his choice. If he chooses me, we all hear about it. I have made myself known and available to lead our party and to lead Ghana, and I’m still here in Ghana,” he said.
Mr. Mahama, who is seeking re-election in 2023, disclosed that he will select his running mate in February 2024.
Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang was selected in 2020 as the running mate to the former president.
