Stars From All Nations Launches New Website for African Talent to Shine Globally

The SFAN story began after Tom-Chris Emewulu stumbled on the grim statistic that of all 66,000 university graduates that left school in Ghana at the time, only 3% found jobs within 12 months.

Determined to change the narrative, and fueled by his success running a thriving retail business before college, Emewulu rallied his friends to bridge the gap between education and industry.

The team established three event series: Quantum Leap Career Fair, SFAN Business Breakfast Meeting, and Student Entrepreneurship Week. These trailblazing initiatives drew heavy-hitting partners like Ecobank, British Council, MTN, and Ashoka, among others, cementing their status as must-attend platforms for connecting talent with opportunity.
Tom-Chris soon realized that youth unemployment wasn’t just Ghana’s burden—it’s a continental challenge, with roughly 60% of Africa’s university graduates battling to secure jobs.

This sparked the vision for an Africa-rooted, globally-minded social enterprise that empowers youth to unlock their potential and ignite others to seize control of their futures. Thus, Stars From All Nations was born, laser-focused on cultivating Africa’s next wave of leaders.

From Classroom Vision to Global Impact

In 2021, SFAN debuted ReadyforWork, an AI-assisted digital career accelerator for emerging talents. ReadyforWork helps entry-level job seekers and early career professionals upskill and future-proof their careers with in-demand digital skills, so they can be of higher value when seeking gainful and meaningful work.

Over one hundred young Africans have since leveraged ReadyforWork to become part of the global economy. SFAN has equally received remarkable global recognition following this product launch, including a feature on New York Times Square by the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center and a content partnership with global payments giant Visa in 2022.

In 2023, two Harvard Business School executives visited SFAN’s Spintex office as part of their Africa mission to learn more about the immersive learning platform.
“I loved reading the story about SFAN and the important work SFAN is doing to improve opportunities for African youth. We so enjoyed learning about the positive impact SFAN is already having on professional development and employment options for Ghanaians. What a wonderful and innovative business you have built,” says Kurt Piemonte, HBS Corporate Relations Director.

Last year, Tom-Chris successfully broke the Guinness World Record for the longest interviewing marathon through Student Entrepreneurship Week (awaiting official certification).

Today, SFAN’s refreshed website doubles down on its mission to empower African talent and businesses. It unveils a sleek, bold digital platform that balances an Africa-centric vision with a polished, world-class vibe. It’s aspirational yet grounded, inviting both local talent and global stakeholders.

More than a mere facelift, the new website embodies SFAN’s decade-long commitment to closing the education-to-employment gap.

It serves as a dynamic gateway to ReadyforWork, which offers access to high-value skills training in fields like software engineering, data science, UX/UI, and digital marketing.

The revamped SFAN website is clean and modern, making it easy to navigate. Whether you’re a student seeking opportunities or a partner exploring collaboration, the layout prioritizes clarity and accessibility. It boldly showcases SFAN’s goal of unlocking African youth potential.

It’s also packed with practical tools–think scholarship guides, resume rewriting service hub, on-demand business support service, a startup encyclopedia, and career insights via the blog. This positions it as a go-to for young Africans looking to upskill
or launch ventures, aligning with SFAN’s education-to-employment focus.

The updated logo and visuals scream innovation and impact, mirroring SFAN’s growth from a classroom idea to a continent-wide force!

This digital hub doesn’t just look fresh–it’s a functional launchpad for African youth to thrive. What do you think–any specific feature you’d want to see added or improved?
