SWAG announce nominees for  44th Awards Night

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana have announced the nominees for this year’s 44th SWAG Awards ceremony which has been scheduled for May, 11th 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Speaking at the launch of the event on Monday at the MTN Head Office the President of SWAG, Kwabena Yeboah stated.

“This year’s event will be attended by very high profile personalities whose names would be revealed soon. Also I have extended a special invitation to celebrated journalist Mark Gleeson and the AIPS Africa family,” Kwabena Yeboah.

Headline sponsor of the Awards MTN Ghana representative during the launch,Mr. Samuel Koranteng, Corporate Services Executive of MTN, said” their commitment to sports in the country has been unblemished just like how SWAG has been consistent with the course to recognise the finest sports talents in the country”.

The Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Prof. Peter Twumasi commended SWAG for sustaining the awards scheme for over the last four decade and tasked it to also shift their focus to expose Ghanaian talents to the world.
