Ticket number “12870” has emerged as the winner of the 2024 The Luckiest draw, securing the 1 million Cedis prize money.

The Luckiest draw which is organized by GeniusLoci Limited and regulated by the National Lottery Authority saw over 300,000 entries with number 12870 emerging as the luckiest ticket in 2024.

Three categories namely Community, Bonus, the Luckiest ticket and other random winners awarded on the night of Saturday, October 30, 2024, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

The Community category had the Filling Stations, Trotro, Prisons and the Jewelers communities winning; whereas, the Bonus tickets category had three random tickets winning a 100 times their amount staked.

The three random winners, two men and a woman were given a chest freezer, microwave oven, and a 40-inch television set.

Dennis Adutwum, Managing Director of the GeniusLoci Limited, explained that the Community category had 100 communities classified into artisanal, fisherfolks, police, journalists, kayayei, golfers, CEOs, among others, who participated in the draw by purchasing tickets from One Ghana cedis to GHC5,000.

“The draw usually starts from July and ends in December but this year we ended in November because of the elections next month. So we are using this opportunity to remind Ghanaians to vote peaceful because our peace if priceless.”

“Next year there are plans to extend the Luckiest to Nigeria and other West African countries. So we will test it in the surrounding countries before we take it to the North, East and the Western part of Africa,” Dennis Adutwum, Managing Director of the GeniusLoci Limited told the media.

He added that the requirement for the Luckiest ticket next year will be changed from group to an individual.
