Ghanaian actor, musician and presenter Kwaku Manu, has asserted that the movie industry will collapse without his colleague actor Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo in showbiz.

He described the actor as a legend and one that needs to celebrated and recognized more than what he is getting already.

In an interview with Doctar Cann on Happy 98.9 fm’s Ayekoo After Drive Show he said, “It was through Agya Koo’s fame I also got famous and whenever Agya Koo traveled out of Ghana during those times, it meant the whole movie industry had traveled with him too just because of how good of an actor he was”.

He disclosed that it was through Agya Koo that a lot of movie producers were able to get their capital to start their movie production.

“And for some reason, even when things got expensive, he never increased his prices. Other producers used to increase his price in his absence but for close to 5 years, he was still charging the same price for his production” he said.

He noted that this made him loved and preferred by most people to the other movie producers.

Kwaku Manu is of the view that no actor or actress in Accra or Kumasi will be able to beat the kind of record Agya Koo has set in Ghanaian movie industry.

He believes for these and more reasons, the legend should be celebrated for all his works and efforts in the Ghanaian movie industry.
