THERE IS A CONSPIRACY TO GAG THE BUDGET- Agbodza

Minority chief whip Governs Kwame Agbodza has cautioned public workers to blame Finance minister Mohammed Amin Adam if they don’t receive Salaries rom January to March. He said he suspects there is a conspiracy on the side of the majority not to lay the paper for budget appropriation.

“This Session of Parliament sought to approve the Expenditure in Advance for Appropriation of January to March 2025, but the finance minister who was expected to appear before the house to lay the document for argumentation did not show up” .

The absence of the Finance Minister raised alarm on the side of the minority to insinuate that there is a conspiracy on the side of the current government to burden the incoming government.

Agbozda lamented that if the document is not laid before the end of the 8th Parliament then it means it is a deliberate action and workers should blame President Akufo Addo, Dr. Bawumia and the finance minister.

He added that if the government refuses to perform their duties they will face the consequences.

Meanwhile, former Majority Leader and MP for Suame Constituency in the Ashanti Region Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu debunked the allegations made by the Minority Chief whip. He stated that, there is an amendment to be done in the document hence the delay.

Speaker Alban Bagbin directed that, both sides should build consensus and bring finality to the issue tomorrow.
