Together we will win Vrs It is Possible: How Alan’s slogan alone presents him as the obvious choice

TOGETHER WE WILL WIN VRS IT IS POSSIBLE,HOW ALAN’S SLOGAN ALONE PRESENTS HIM AS THE OBVIOUS CHOICE.

The clock is ticking and surely the delegates of the Npp will be called upon on the 4th of November,2023,to make that all important decision as to who leads the party as its flagbearer.

Delegates are looking at the various candidates closely in terms of their messaging, their own track record both in the party and in government, their character etc.

This piece tends to direct the minds of delegates to one aspect of the campaign of the various aspirants to guide them in choosing who is more qualified to lead the Npp and for that matter Ghana. It is interesting that two of the aspirants,Mr.Alan Kyerematen who seems to be the front runner and likely to win by a huge margin and the Vice President, have couched slogans for their campaigns. Mr.Kyerematen has “Together we will win” as his campaign slogan while the Vice President has “It is possible”.

Political pundits have taken a critical look at the two slogans and have come to some firm conclusions. The Slogan “Together we will win” clearly shows a candidate who believes in team work and unity of purpose. This slogan is in tune with the campaign message of Mr.Kyerematen. His message has been hinged on the fact that he is a symbol of unity and believes in team work and has demonstrated his love for unity and team work in the past especially in 2007 on LEGON campus when he willingly allowed the then candidate Akufo Addo to be declared as the winner of the presidential primaries though it was supposed to go for a run off.

Again the slogan “Together we will win” represents the acknowledgment of the fact that without unity,a party is not bound to win an election. The idea of unity within the Npp will be needed in 2024 more than ever if the Npp is to win the election.

One would want to juxtapose Mr.Kyerematen’s slogan to the one provided by the Vice President which is “It is possible”.No one seem to understand what the “It is possible” is.People have been asking what at all is possible with him leading the Npp? Is he referring to the fact that with him,it is possible that Ghana will retrogress?? Is he saying with him it is possible that Jihadist are going to take over Ghana?? Is he saying with him, unemployment is going to be high? Is he saying with him,it is possible that the economy will struggle? There seem not to be clarity with the slogan and just on the basis of the two slogans alone, the delegates must be able to identify who seems to be focused on the job ahead and knows what specifically the country and for that matter the party needs.

Mr.Kyerematen by virtue of his slogan alone, stands miles ahead of the Vice President and this I’m sure the delegates have identified and will adequately compensate him on the 4th of November,2023.Remember it is only Together that the Npp will win.
