Founded in 1955, the school has, for seven decades, remained committed to nurturing young minds who continue to contribute significantly to Ghana’s progress. Generations of learners have passed through its doors; carrying with them values of discipline, curiosity, and leadership that have shaped countless aspects of the national story.

As part of this historic celebration, the school invites the public, alumni, parents, and well-wishers to the official launch of the 70th Anniversary on Saturday, 22nd November, at the forecourt of the school premises.

The celebration is held under the theme “Nurturing Minds, Shaping Ghana’s Future.”
The event will be graced by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana as Guest of Honour; the Chairperson and other distinguished guests will also be in attendance.

Line-Up of Anniversary Activities (2025–2026)
