A member of the GFA Normalisation Committee (NC), Naa Odofoley Nortey, has expressed how she wished Popular sports journalist Dan Kweku Yeboah would have stayed in NC till the end of their mandate.

According to Naa Odofoley, she read comments on the various platform after Dan Kweku Yeboah’s  resignation and she realized “he was not really liked by people”

She made these comments on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports with Ohene Brenya- Bampoe when asked whether the Broadcaster’s resignation damaged the image of the NC.

“Not at all, Dan’s departure from the NC had no damage to our image. I actually saw some of the comments on platforms and it seems he wasn’t really liked by people and it wasn’t very complimentary of him. I understand why he got the kind of backlash he had,” she said.

She added, “I wish Dan didn’t resign. I wish we could have all finished together and left the scene, Personally, I had no issues with him but I can’t speak for others.”

Dan Kwaku Yeboah stepped down from his position as spokesperson for the GFA NC, citing personal reasons.

He tendered his resignation barely a month to the end of NC mandate.

A letter addressed to the President of the NC, Dr. Kofi Amoah reads;
“I hereby inform you about my decision to resign as the spokesperson for the Normalization Committee effective 2nd September 2019.

The decision is for very personal reasons “My deep appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
